TERMS & CONDITIONS
Version: [November 2026]
1. Scope
These terms and conditions apply to all orders placed in the online shop on theyellinglight.ch. The seller is The Yelling Light, [Street and number], [Postcode] [City], Switzerland. Further details are in our imprint: https://theyellinglight.ch/imprint
The version of these terms that is valid when you place your order applies.
2. Products
We sell music on physical media (such as vinyl records, CDs and cassettes), music downloads, merchandise and other products of The Yelling Light and of the artists we work with. Product photos may differ slightly from the actual product, for example in the colour of a vinyl record. Many releases are limited editions and are only available while stock lasts.
3. Prices and shipping costs
All prices are in Swiss francs (CHF). For delivery or pickup in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, prices include Swiss VAT (currently 8.1%). Physical products shipped to other countries are exported without Swiss VAT.
The price of a download is the same in every country. It includes Swiss VAT for buyers in Switzerland and Liechtenstein and, where we sell downloads to other countries that charge VAT on them, the VAT of the buyer's country. The price shown for a download is the minimum price: you can choose to pay more in the cart.
Shipping costs depend on the destination, the weight and size of the parcel and the options you choose, such as tracking or Priority. They are calculated at checkout and shown before you pay. Pickup and downloads are free of shipping costs.
Discount codes apply to the products in your order, not to shipping costs or import fees, unless the code is for free shipping (within Switzerland and Liechtenstein only). One code can be used per order. Codes can not be exchanged for cash and can only be redeemed under the conditions stated with the code.
4. Import duties and taxes
For deliveries to Germany and the USA, import fees are included in your total. Nothing more is due on delivery.
For deliveries to all other countries outside Switzerland and Liechtenstein, import VAT, customs duties and fees of the postal service may apply. They are charged by the authorities or the postal service of the destination country and are paid by the recipient. We have no influence on these charges.
5. Order and conclusion of the contract
The products in our shop are not a binding offer. You place a binding order by completing the payment at the end of the checkout. The contract is concluded when your payment has been completed and we confirm your order by email.
If a product turns out to be unavailable after all (for example because the last copy was sold at a concert), we will let you know and refund the amount paid for it without delay.
For some destinations or orders, shipping costs cannot be calculated automatically. In this case you can send us your order as a request, and we will reply with an offer by email. A request is not binding for either side. A contract is only concluded once you have accepted our offer and paid.
6. Payment
You can pay by credit or debit card, TWINT and the other payment methods shown at checkout. Payments are processed by our payment provider Stripe. You enter your payment details directly on Stripe's payment page; they never reach us. The full amount is due when you order.
7. Delivery and pickup
We ship with Swiss Post. We usually dispatch orders within [5] working days after payment, unless a later date is stated on the product page. Delivery times depend on the postal services and, for international shipments, on customs. We can not guarantee them.
Pickup is available in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. We will contact you by email to arrange a time and place in [City].
Please make sure your delivery address is correct. If a parcel comes back to us because the address was wrong, it was not collected or it was refused (for example because import charges were not paid), we refund the purchase price minus the shipping costs and the costs of the return shipment. Alternatively, we can send it again at your cost.
If a parcel arrives damaged, please let us know as soon as possible and keep the packaging.
8. Downloads
Right after your payment, your downloads are available on your order page, and we send you the link by email. Depending on the release, you can choose between the formats offered (for example MP3 or FLAC). A complete album can be downloaded as one ZIP file or track by track.
You can download each file up to 5 times within 30 days. If the link has expired or you have used up your downloads, you can request a new link at any time at https://theyellinglight.ch/downloads with your email address and order number. If you sign in to your customer account (https://theyellinglight.ch/account), you can download your purchases there as often as you like.
Downloads are for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not copy, share, upload, stream publicly or resell them. All rights remain with the artists and The Yelling Light.
If a file is damaged or does not work, please contact us at note@theyellinglight.ch and we will provide a working file.
9. Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer, you can withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, receive the goods. If you ordered several items that are delivered separately, the period starts when you receive the last item.
To withdraw, send us a clear statement that you wish to withdraw from the contract, for example by email to note@theyellinglight.ch. You can use the model form below, but you don't have to. It is enough to send your statement before the withdrawal period ends.
If you withdraw, we refund all payments we have received from you, including the standard delivery costs (but not the extra costs of a more expensive delivery option such as Priority). We refund without delay and no later than 14 days after we have received your withdrawal, using the same payment method you used for the order. We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or you have shown that you have sent them, whichever is earlier.
Please send the goods back to The Yelling Light, [Street and number], [Postcode] [City], Switzerland, without delay and no later than 14 days after you told us about your withdrawal. You pay the direct costs of the return. You are only liable for a loss in value of the goods if it results from handling them in a way that is not necessary to check their nature, characteristics and functioning.
There is no right of withdrawal for sealed audio or video recordings (such as shrink-wrapped vinyl records, CDs or cassettes) if you have removed the seal after delivery, or for products made to your personal specifications.
Downloads: when you buy a download, you agree at checkout that it is made available to you right away, and you confirm that you know that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal for the download. This does not affect your right of withdrawal for physical products in the same order.
